studio interior studio exterior Bunnett Live Edge Furniture is a new direction for Vibration-Nation woodworking. After 35 years producing wooden items ranging from musical percussion instruments to D.N. ice racing sailboats we've now begun to build furniture in the live edge style of George Nakashima who pioneered the concept of a raw wood slab complemented by masterful craftsmanship. For thirty years we have been collecting, milling and air drying cherry, maple and oak wood on our farm, a land trust called Lothlorien Farm in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario Canada.

"Live edge" refers to the wavy edge or "cambian" layer just inside the bark of the tree. Although we are well stocked with large dried live edge slabs for dining tables, our speciality is smaller pieces like coffee, hall and side tables, some of which can double as a bench. Many of the designs are of the knock down variety.

We welcome your visit to browse through our dried live edge slabs to find what is most appropriate for your project, or photos of suitable live edge slabs can be e-mailed to you to begin discussion on design pricing and delivery.
